Group General Counsel (Interim), Region Europe

In this role you lead and manage the Legal & Compliance function, ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant laws and regulations. You will act as business partner at C-level executives. You will provide advice on various complex legal matters with a focus on Corporate, M&A, Commercial (supply, it, financing, real estate), Compliance, GDPR, claims, disputes, transactions, to protect the company’s business interests and control risk management. This is a solo role in a professional dynamic international environment (p.e. owned, larger company), reporting to the CFO.
Profile:
- Law degree (Msc.), broad and strong knowledge of company, M&A, corporate, contract law and compliance
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar role, in an international larger dynamic complex profit setting
- Affinity and preferably experience with B2B, supply, logistics, tech, fmcg, retail industry
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proven track record of managing a Legal & Compliance function
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience in advising C-level executives on complex legal issues and disputes
- Ability to work efficiently with various stakeholders, incl. p.e. firm, Supervisory Board, functional leads, OpCo MTs, external parties such as law firms, regulatory bodies and authorities
- Excellent command of English, and German, Dutch or French is advantage.
